After many years of practicing Yoga, and with personal development and wellness her passion, Sarah developed her therapeutic yoga teaching business, Karmiyoga, in 2007 after a one month intensive (200 hour RYS) Sivananda Yoga teacher training course in India followed by a further 200 hour Dru Yoga Teacher training course in London.
She chose the name Karmiyoga as it’s a word play on “calm-me-yoga” – which is her intention as a teacher; to help ease and alleviate the pressures many of us face in contemporary living, creating space to slow down, restore and return ourselves to a natural state of balance.
Dru Yoga works on the subtle energies to facilitate growth and positive transformation and Sarah’s classical Hatha Yoga training combined with her appreciation of restorative yoga complements perfectly the ethos of Dru Yoga, which is very safe and accessible for all ages and bodies, with many applied modifications.
As a former Wellbeing Journalist, Sarah decided to share the infinite and amazing benefits of yoga by writing a book – she is author of ‘Everyday Yoga, The Essential Guide (2011, Need2Know Books) and reviews yoga holidays and retreats for national press.
Sarah is based in Brighton, where she teaches outdoors on Hove Lawns in the summer and leads Mindful Yoga & Walking events and retreats throughout the year.
